sorry to make you jealous but...

We have spent our half term holiday on the caribbean coast of Colombia.
It was absolutely gorgeous! We spent the first night in a place called El Rodadero where in stayed in a hotel on the beach front, then the next day we took a scary and hillarious taxi ride up the national nature reserve called Parque Tayrona.
Its a protected area, but they have places for you to sleep, including a hut full of hammocks, which we stupidly decided to do!
A few dead legs sleeps later, we left the park to go back to Rodadero for one night before going back to Bogota on Friday,
Enjoy the pics.
s and t xx

The sunset at El Rodadero beach, its a nice spot!

Rodedero again.

This is a picture from our blacony in the hotel in El Rodedero. Nice beach ay?

These two pics are taken on Rodedero beach later in the day.

This is the view from the top of the water I abseiled down, scarier from the top.

The instructors would block the water from the waterfall and let it build up then let it go so it covered you! This is Dom getting the full force of it!

Before you actually got to the waterfall, we had to walk for 30 mins along the abandoned railway line (it was exactly like stand by me, and we kept expecting to see a dead body!...but not Keifer Sutherland...)

Tim and Dom take a dip in one of the pools on the hike we went on.

The group lapping up the sun in the jacuzzi at the hotel.

This is us guys just setting off, although the boat tim and i are in is at the back of this picture!

This is Dom coming down the waterfall, gives you an idea of how high up it was.

This is me coming down the waterfall, rather less graciously!

This is us lot getting ready to go white water rafting, we look nervous don't we? Can you spot me n tim?

Tobia

This weekend was mostly spent doing some sporting activities in a place called Tobia. Approx 2 hours from Bogota, we stayed in a cool little hotel place, LA Gaigana, which had its own pool and bar restaurant .
We spent our time in Tobia going on a couple of walks, including scrabbling over some pretty dangerous rocks through pools of water, white water rafting, absailing and also hanging out by the pool and getting burnt!
Tobia is great fun, it is certainly a lot hotter than Bogota!
I also have some video footage of the area, including of the dodgy path over an abandoned railway line that you had to walk over to get to the absailing!!!
Enjoy the pics for now, while I figure out how to get the video on!!!!

There were some pretty hairy creatures awaiting our arrival!

Tim does a great cheesey grin, con sombero de Slayer!
